Piano Moving Services Lexington, KY

From Here to There is your solution to piano transportation. Whether we are delicately moving a museum quality piano, previously played by Frank Sinatra (true story), or hauling off an undesired/malfunctioning piano to recycle or resell, we’ve seen and done it all.

Often heirloom pieces, pianos are more than just furniture. These pricey and beloved instruments hold the memories of family gatherings, years of lessons leading to mastery, and in some cases, multiple generations of pianists. From Here to There has moved all sizes of pianos, from an upright Spinet top piano to a 9 foot concert grand piano.

Upright pianos generally are usually much smaller and lighter than their grand counterparts, making them easier to maneuver. This doesn’t necessarily make them easy to move though, and it’s still best to contract specialists if you want to prevent injury and/or damage to you or your instrument. The difficulty with moving these massive instruments is two-fold: They’re heavy and they’re delicate. The qualified professionals at From Here to There has the equipment and expertise to manage piano moves.

For upright pianos, we will pad all surfaces. At that point, we will place on our specialized piano board, detach the lid, the legs and the pedals placing them on truck for transport. Upon arrival to destination, we will reverse that process, leaving the piano ready to for playing, grabbing attention as the center of the room.

Disclaimer* We expect half a dozen stairs in and out of the house, however we do not service piano moves up or down a full flight of stairs, unfortunately. Oftentimes, even after the most delicate moves, a piano can require a retune. We do not offer this service but do have a solid referral within our trusted trades network.

Bonus tip: Our favorite composer at From Here to There is Frédéric Chopin (the only correct answer)
